Can someone take the press photo of the overhead shop in victory red and photoshop out the roof and trunk stripe and just leave the heat extractor black.

I wanna get an idea of what that looks like.

This is the best I could do... Not quite satisfied with it...

This is one of those colors that has to be seen in person to see the "true" color. Google search brought up different shades of crystal red depending on lighting conditions and camera processing.

Can you recommend any books on how to do this in Photoshop? I've used it (GIMP actually) for a while, but nothing this involved.

I'm looking forward to seeing pretty much the shot above in IBM, and I would love to be able to do it myself.

I haven't looked into any books. I use PaintShop Pro, so I went through the tutorials to see how to navigate through the software.
You might try YouTube, and find videos specific to your software that take you step by step.
I learned mainly by playing around with the different tools in the program to see what they did.
To change colors, try looking for something in your program called "tone-mapping", where it lets you adjust individual colors in the picture. It should be around other settings like brightness, contrast, tone, etc. You'll see that it will change the main color of the subject, but it will also change the color of anything in the background that is a similar color to the subject (ex. Adjusting the color of a blue car will also adjust the color of a blue sky by the same amount).

Can someone please post a pic of the 45th anniversary and the new ashen grey color, my dealer says they are the same color. I know you guys are gonna say they are not but I would like to see the difference.

Red with a white stripe? Include the hood insert with white/white stripe and another with carbon fiber insert with white, CF w/ silver and CF w/ gray stripe. Thanks.
