The good...no...the great news, is that there is discussion involving both the words 'Camaro', and '2020'.

To put a positive spin on it...since it won't occur until GM "makes the world right"....the good news is that it the cars we do get will be due for a trade-in by the time its' available...if its availble.

GM didn't quite mention it, in fact they typically don't talk about future products. The article (and image) are both by Motor Trend.

You don't know if the Camaro has had a smooth or a rough development and neither do we. Because even though we've been given an unprecedented amount of information regarding the development of the Camaro, it still essentially amounts to nothing and a lot of what we think we know is little more than educated guesses. Some of the 'problems' (like paint delays) exist mainly in our head and are completely normal for regular production cars.

Are we ready for 556 horsepower?

Hey guys, the Z/28 was built to be a racer--from day one..but since those few 1967 302's...look what happened? What really was the last Z/28---"a styling exercise or real nasty transportation?

We don't have Trans Am racing like we used to..but we do have a 556 horse street legal powerplant...that needs more uses than a Cadillac could ever offer....and if you can buy a bare CTS-V for 61,000.00--how cheap could you make the Camaro? $51,000.00 or even less?

So what to call it?

I say do something new---something that connects the traditions ---

1. why not use "Super Sport" instead of SS?

D.P.

hey just joined this thread and i hope i'm not bringing up an old issue, but i discussed this with some co-workers and we all seemed to agree that this car could be (hypothetically speaking) in the same price range as the Chally SRT/8 considering its a step up from the SS (which is pushing 35k in the 2SS) and increased performance wise

Yea what gives they tested the S@#T outta the V6 and the motor trend tester said "i can't wait to see what the V8 is like." That led me to believe there would be a V8 Test somewhere down the road and to top it all off in the April issue they tested the Mustang GT

because GM dropped the idea of spelling things out, just like almost everybody else. that's why they never called any of the other new SS models 'super sport'

cadillac is one of the biggest examples of this:
deville touring sedan = DTS
seville luxury sedan = SLS
and so on...

CAMARO Z28 article in Motor trend

Did anyone else see the article yet?
I did not buy the magazine because it was a weak write up on how the Z28 was pretty much dead, however, there was a great photo of the fianl approved version of the Z28. 556HP.
