For me:

135'ish - computed from the tach of a 1987 T-Bird Turbo Coupe
125 - 1995 V-6 Mustang
137 - 1997 Grand Prix GTP - Governed, would have run much faster
couldn't tell - speedo was pegged at 110 and was so tight it bounced - 77 Plymouth Fury Sport

170 knots/195 mph under NVG's - 93 Sikorsky Blackhawk - 2x1900 hp T701C turbines - many times

124 in my '96 Cavalier

don't know how fast I got in my mom's Mustang. I was racing a kid home (big stretch of open road in the middle of the night) and I don't think he expected me to open it up. I did. He was driving a Camry SE and I was several car lengths in front of him at the end of the 2 mileish stretch.

The I got pulled over in my Ford Focus doing 112 in a 65 mph zone. The $500ish dollar ticket and 6 points on my license put an end to all that speeding real quick.

not much to show just..108 in my 4-cylinder car.....it crawled sooooo slow from 102-108 took 7 to 8 seconds, wouldn't give me anymore =(*tear*, so i figured it was time to slow down. was on a back country 2 lane road by myself with no traffic in front or behind me as far as the eye could see, ride was ok. Doing stuff like that on a highway with traffic is crazy though i don't think i ever would.although never say never.

Funny Story, about a month or 2 latter was pulled over by a cop on the previous road going up a small hill on another 2 lane road, when i reached the summit i saw a cop coming toward me from the other direction at the same time and we passed each other.lol. Scared the crap out of me! was just cruising 72 in the 55, and the first thing he asked me was 'are you crazy?'.lol.

good thing he didn't know about the 108.
Never going over 100 again unless i have Radar and a CB to talk with the truckers to find out where the bears are.lol.

O, and don't listen to them about saying its for your own 'safty' we all know thats a bunch of bull shit. Their is more accidents in the U.S. then their are in Europe and the autobans in germany with the no speed limit sections.

It has been a proven FACT that you are more alert and paying attention the faster you are going, then just cruising at 55-65,THAT is where all the accident drivers come from its not the speeders. Its the fact that people pay less attention and just zone out when they are going the speed limit or less and not really pay attention to whats around them. They think going the speed limit or slower somehow gives them somewhat of an invulnerability while driving and THAT is dangerous to common sense...

But of course the 'safty' commission wont tell you that....
the person going 105 is paying much more attention to the road and details surrounding him
then the person going 55.

i guarantee you if they raised the speed limits by 15-25mph it would drop the car accident rate by at least 50% the first year because people would be paying attention to their driving. But o, wait, they would lose probably about 50% of their speeding fines $$$ too because alot of people drive 4-cylinders for a daily and cant go much fast then the raised speed limits anyways. just my thoughts.
Ive been trying to convince people of this theory forever. But I have one gripe. Doing 105 or 108 or whatever in your 4-banger (did 120 in my 4cyl mazda 626, HAHAHAHA), is not very safe no matter how good of attention you are paying. The car doesnt have the tires, brakes, or suspension to handle any kind of trouble at that speed.

Anyway, yes, i agree. I know that I am driving much more safely at 90 or so than i am in the slow lane on cruise control at 65, where i get bored and text and shit. Lets raise the speed limits!

ya i know, i wouldn't raise the speed limit that high.lol but then again their are places in europe where there are no speed limit sections on the highways and they have fewer accidents so safty is a relative term but i see your point. I think it costs around a thousand U.S. dollars to get your license over their though.
I think part of our problem over here is how easy it actually is to get a license its almost scary. You hardly even need to do anything to get your license it seams. I didn't even have to parallel park or anything just drove around with the instructer for 5-10min. and that was it......
I think you should be required to go to at least a week long driving school or something....idk.

Found out from my dad yesterday, he is a truckdriver, that they are raising the speed limit for 18 wheelers by 10mph to match it to 65. in certain areas, I guess its official now. Im not sure if its just in ohio or not.

Well over 130. I raced my 68 automatic power glide Camaro against my brothers 76 3 speed manual Rally Sport. We started on the highway going 100 mph. He got the jump on me, but I paased him by with ease. Our speedometers were both buried. He said his was over the 130 mph on his speedometer when I went by him.
