My worse run so far is a 9.88, which was sideways through first and then missed second and third. _0427092843_001.pdf |

Here's one for the stock category. This wasn't my quickest one, but the only good one that wasn't a redlight.

hi, my name is brian taliaferro and am new to this site. had my camaro a couple months and finally got the weather break to get to the track. car is 2ss rs ls3 bone stock down to the air filter. this is the 1/8th mile pass. i get a timeslip by the end of the day. when i figure out how to put it on here. Im not computer savy.
60ft. 1.904 330ft. 5.351 594ft. 7.686 1/8 e.t. 8.208 1/8 mph 86.17 first pass of the night didnt go so well as i drove 40 miles to the track car only sat from the drive for less than 15 minutes. temp was at 200 at the line and i guess the high temp caused the ecu to pull a bunch of timing out or somethin because it bogged and never really took off.. first pass was a 9.0 flat at 81.2 mph. i was sad. so i let the car set for 1.5 hrs and the temp at the line this time was 160. much better time was 8.37 at 85.5 with a 1.94 60ft. I then let the car cool for another hour by then the air was about 10 degrees cooler at about 70 degrees. I then ran the 8.20. best pass was leaving line at 3800-4000 and slipping the clutch just right. NOTE....on the 8.20 pass the clutch pedal stuck down about 2 inches and smelled really bad. So i dont think this agressive driving at the track to get such numbers will happen much more without a performance clutch. By the way. after the pass the clutch and pedal went back to normal. |

blufin... Congrats on really knowing how to get these cars to put up the number. When i made the 9.0 pass it was embarassing. couple guys came over and said.. i heard these things were slow. Ive seen so many people run these cars and not get the true potential. around here they are really stereotyped as slow and overated. After letting the car cool and then bustin those low 8 second passes you should have seen the haters...its sad how many people want to see someone fail. they could not believe it was showroom stock. anyway congrats you must really know how to drive because i dont think unless air is better next time that i could possible go any faster... had perfect takeoff and never let off the pedal on shifts. one guy siad it sounded like an automatic. so you too must be drivin your azz off.
