I made him some parts that are for his car, I made connector using some of the info and part that helped me make the HUD harness, So its a pass throw connector that gos in line of the 4 pack gauges and up under the dash, Its a 3 way harness with one of the ABL connector as long as needs for it to go behind the dash all the way to the passenger door.

The light pipe is the same one that GM is using in the car now and so are the lights.

So from your expierience are you saying that you need to use (3) GM Led's or (2) GM Led's if you want to match the light intensity of the factory IOM door lighting? Thanks

That is not the same as the GM light pipe you need to paint a stripe on the back to have it refract back at you.

That looks great man. I can't wait to see what mine looks like. He figured out the lighting issue. He realized since he was indoors the lights automatically come on bc the sensor senses there isn't enough light. It'll come on by the sensor like you said. He is working on the door panels now. I should have it back by tomorrow. Hopefully tonight . He was impressed by your skills on how you created the harnesses and the LED lights by yourself. He is also going to make my LED side markers by AAC into turning signals, but he is giving me a price quote on labor first.

So you know your will be brighter for two reasons.
1 GM used i thinner paint on the IOM Interior so it will look a lot more bright, If tags car is a 5 in how bright the dash trim is yours will be a 15.

2 I used bright LED's there 2X the GM LED's(But i cant find the Right color for the Blue)

No he added a 3 light at the end of the passenger door.
If they are brighter.. Does that mean I should replace my existing LED in both door panels to match the new ones?

ABL

Camaro Ambient Lighting
I saw your post and was wondering if you could help me with some questions I have about the ABL door panels.

I recently bought a 2010 1LT RS Camaro. I would like to change out the door panel inserts (cloth) to the gray panels with the ambient lights.

I have seen on one of the posts that there should be a plug located behind the fuse panel door on the drivers side of the dash board. My car does not have the plug that is mentioned.

Does this mean that my car is not an easy fit for the ABL door panels?

I can find the gray panels (ebay) but most don't have the 'light tube' with them. My GM dealer says that this comes with the panel and can not be purchased separately.

Even if I get the panels with the light tubes, how easy is it to be made functional if my car doesn't have the plug needed to make them light.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

RKCamaro13

I am pretty confident the lights do not come with the door panels.. My 2011 Camaro required me to tap into my 4 pack gauge in order to get the lights to my dash and door. Speak to 2SSRS. He has helped me a great amount already. My car is currently being outfitted with this ABL mod right now at my local dealer. I know if your car is above a certain VIN number you have to go about the ABL mod a different way. 2SSRS maybe able to provide you with the tools you need in order to complete your ABL mod my friend. Good luck!

IF your car"s vin is past 9160000 then you do not have the connectors in the dash and only the dash, put we can fix that.

Not at all, More parts is all you need.

Your dealer never meet my.

Not hard at all, Fir the doors, You need to t-tap the lighting in the window switch its going to work same way.

For the dash you can t-tap the wires from the BCM.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

RKCamaro13

Hope that helps you out, let me know if you have any more things you need help on.
