Poseur or poser. *nods*

I disagree. Many people love their car, and WILL defend it just like a V8 owner might defend theirs. It doesn't automatically mean you "find yourself wanting" to tell others why you got the V6 - especially when so many people are asking why.
As a V8 owner I get that question all the time about why not a Vette simple and true answer, I need the back seat. Can't put a car seat in the back of the Vette. Anyways I will get the Vette here soon, just had to get a back seat first to keep the wife happy.

Side note: Here by my house at Pasty Lou in Flint, MI they have a brand new never used Z06 that they are selling for 48000. Yeah if this was 2010 summer I would be all over it. Now that pisses me off.

I honestly prefer the Camaro.

Really.

I think it looks better, and I'd like the option of taking more than one person with me.

I love both looks equally. But the one spot the Vette got over the Camaro is the ride height. I love the low to ground look, but only when it's factory made like that. I know you can lower the Camaro to the Vettes height, but IMO it never will look right because it wasn't ever designed to be that low.

To me, the Camaro has this burly, snarling charisma that the 'Vette just does not possess. The Corvette is a very, very pretty car, and yes, it's very very fast...but it's a little too pretty for me.

In fact, I think they look better in race trim, with that big honkin' AC vent in the back and garish paint. Seems to add some oomph to the visual impression that the road car doesn't have.

Speaking strictly of Camaros, when I think about or look at the V6, I always get a 'sportier' vibe than I do with the V8s. With the V8's, the vibe is less 'sporty' and more 'muscular', and I can see the appeal in both.

v6 0-60 is only 6 seconds ideally.... more like 6.5 on the average user.... i dont think thats very fast at all.... the v6 to me isnt a muscle car, its a good looking slower sports car.... just my opinion

Amen!

Heck most of the old school "Muscle Cars" had a hard time breaking into the low six second range.

Go drive a four cylinder (____insert name of vehicle here____) mid size to full size car for comparison.

Low six second to 60 is really pretty good. Especially for the money.

I have suffered the same kind of ribbing from Ducati 1098 riders because I have the "little 848". My thing is to take something lesser and make something exceptional out of it. Cost is a factor so, I set my sights a little lower but, the rewards are very much the same. David and Goliath kinda thing.

On a pure HP track, I do get spanked... but... on a more technical layout... me and "Lana" are more than a match!

That's an expert on a 1098 behind me... just an amature on the 848! (I don't tell them that I was a Pro rider at one time!)

Sometimes, less IS more!

BTW.... this bike make 130RWHP... any of you V8 guys wanna try me?

I could dispute your 0-60 numbers but it's not worth it. When will this thread die like the rest. I know my little post here keeps it going, so this is my last word.

These v-6 vs v-8 discussions are useless and always end on a sour note.

Peace out.

My respose to people who knock me for buying the V6 is hay it's my daily driver I travel 90 miles R/T. Unlike you I did not need to sell my 4th Gen to buy a 5th Gen I kept both of my 4th Gen's (2000 V6, and a 2001 Z/28) if you look at my garage I could afford one with no problem if I wanted to (I have my 06 Silverado 1500Vmax, my 2007 Suburban 3LT, and my 2009 Malibu 2LT that I paid cash for). I am saving the V8 for the Camaro convertible I could not hold off I wanted one so I opted for the V6. When the convertible is available I will order my 2SS/RS or Z/28 convertible. Will I trade in my V6 nope that will stay with her Camaro family

nothing wrong with the v6. i got my 2ss/rs because i liked it, plus i do like the extra power it has. i also dont really care about the fuel usage, so that wasnt a concern plus i dont ever plan on taking my baby out in rain or snow i have a 2009 tahoe ltz for everyday. wish that had the 6.2 in it instead of the 5.3 but oh well enjoy your cars they are a ll sweet. i test drove a v6 and thought it was a great car too.

Keep in mind, when the V8 has to pull over for gas, you'll fly right by.

I think one reason for the negative V6 stereotypes are the mass amounts of V6 Mustangs on the road since that car has been in production forever and ever with very little to no breaks.

V6 Camaros are fine, really. IF anyone who has a problem with them its the hardcore car enthusiasts, that's all though. They typically believe you got the car for the looks and not the "substance".
