For my first "opening"

"Put That Thang Down" - Ying Yang Twins

I know - I'm representing the hip hop/rap generation (yes, there is a BIG difference)

hip hop = lifestyle
Rap is the way we convey our thoughts musically.

Gangster rap is different than underground rap is different than hip pop rap is different than dirty south rap.

Another classic, I just remembered was on the NFS Underground OST. 24's by TI.

Perfect for cruisin Burlingame Avenue where all the stuck up snobs driving ferrari's and M3's at night would drool. Top down, engine burbling.

I never really liked that album from Nelly. He was trying to be a gangsta rap while making songs like that. personal preference. I'm a huge fan of Tech n9ne who's from KC MO. A few others. Nelly got better after that album cuz he wasn't trying to be gangster and mainstream at the same time.

Yeah, but a bunch of the guys I work with won't recognize anyone from the Midwest as having any talent. I just had to represent...LOL

I like Tech n9ne also. But I know it's always said, but I am truly just a fan of music in general. I prefer Alternative Rock, but listen to everything. I like rap, R&B, classic rock, live blues and I even have a cousin that wrote a hit song for Kenny Chesney (It don't happen twice).

The ultimate driving song "for me" is "Ride The Lightening" by "Metallica". Although I no longer allow my self to listen to it while driving on the interstate. I tend to let loose all inhibitions and forget about all posted speed limit signs. Last time I was listening to it on the HWY I looked down and caught myself doing 120 in my Acura. Maybe if I ever take a trip to Germany to experience the wonders of th Autobahn I'll break it out again. But until then my wallet can't handle it.

Ride the Lightning is truely a great jam. I like the beginning of Queens Ryche's Be the Best I Can. The first 10-15 sceonds of it. I could see myself getting involved in a high speed chase if that part were to play over and over
