No wonder they melted on him!
I'm NOT seeing us having much of a problem keeping up.

Now for another questions. I just received my brake fluid in the mail and need to change it out. Any recommendations on where I should take it?

Few other things I'm bringing to the track -

- Cooler with water and snacks
- a chair

I removed my splitter and remounted it about a 1/4 inch higher. It helped a little but at this point I think I will just have to order an OEM holder and use one of the no drill methods to mount it. I thought I had one from when I bought the car but I can't find it anywhere so either I did not get it or tossed it thinking I would never use it.

I'm going to be putting the Jac-Fab holder on the 1LE....got pulled over again this spring. Kenmore........

I'm done getting pulled over, even though it's clearly visible in the windshield. My biggest worry is airflow during track-days, and it appears this JacFab piece will come off without a fuss.

We don't run a front plate and didn't on the 12' SS we had then either. I've been pulled over years ago for no front plate in other cars but it's been a long time. I have a JacFab mount but I'm really holding off on mounting it, I really don't like having a plate on the front of the Camaro. A good friend of mine (yep a cop) said he and his co-workers don't pull folks over just for not running a front plate but that's them. We've been lucky that the state & local police don't bother us as a day doesn't go by when out with the car that we don't go past them but it's a matter of time I guess.

As of today, still NO PLATE.........

Don't get me wrong - I think it'd hideous...but for every three or four times I've rolled through a checkpoint, or passed an officer radar-ing people...I get pulled over by the goofball who must think I stole my car, as he follows behind for 5 minutes, before finally lighting me up just to give me a plate infraction ticket.

I can think of better places to spend my money than in town courts over such a stupid thing.

I know exactly what you're saying. Luckily living in the rural southern tier some things seem to be "let go". When we do go to the city it typically is not with the Camaro though. My trouble maker days are far behind me anymore and I really don't care to attract any more attention to myself but that damn front plate kills me lol. My wife is the more defiant one though and refuses to let me mount the Jacfab and plate.

The funny thing is that on my v6 I never had a front plate on it and never got hassled and I drove it for 2 years. Since I got the ss I've been pulled over about 6 times in two years. Idk why? Its not like I'm driving like an ass. This is my second ticket for tint and my first for second plate. And knowing that it was a state trooper who pulled me over and I drive that same route mon-fri I'm bound to see him again. So that's why I decided to just mount the front plate and remove the tint. Cause I'm sure I'll get pulled over again for another reason.
Last year I got pulled over for my aac side markers. The officer swore that he front were red when they are clearly amber. And I don't know about you guys but paying over 120$ for tickets every few weeks doesn't sound pleasant for me lol. I guess I just have to wait till I move to fl to retint the car.

I haven't had an issue with the lights. Thank goodness....but often times it's during the day and they are silver-ghosted....so they "blend".

When we first got the Camaro it took 2 days for the Buffalo police to pull my wife over for no plate. I like the way the Camaro looks with tint but I am afraid to tint it for fear of more tickets. It does suck as both me and my wife don't drive like a-holes so they have no other reason to pull us over. It probably does not help that an Orange Camaro convertible sticks out like a sore thumb in most places. It just screams hey look at me.

I have had my Z71 Silverado tinted since almost day one 4 years ago, 2 Grand Cherokees over the past 14 years prior and never got pulled over. One of the first few times I took the Camaro out I got pulled over. He said "because of the tint but I'm not going to ticket you, I really want to check out your car." He also told me not to put the front plate?
