We don't need more then 2 sentences from them really. Either they say:

1. "Production of the Camaro will strictly focus 100% on R6P cars except where constraints are concerned. Dealers will not be receiving anymore stock until all buildable R6P cars are made".

-or-

2. "Production will consist of the following - 60% of the cars built will be R6P cars, 35% will be dealer stock and 5% 'whatever'. This was decided because......"

Pretty simple really....as I've said before, silence speaks volumes.
I'm not so sure # 2 is a good answer

It's not a good answer but it's an honest one. If they give us a similar answer, we'll just have to kick our campaign up a notch. God, video hosting sites are awesome these days....

But production levels aren't set by them to differentiate at all between stock and sold orders. Dealers put in whatever they want. GM just needs to make it so that dealers cannot put in any more orders and only past orders can be built. Either that or "accept" the sold orders and just make them stay in purgatory at 3000 until all the sold orders are done.

I know they want to make sure all the cars perfect, but it just makes me sick when someone can go to a dealer and buy a car before a dedicated enthusiast who preordered in October.

I know we have been given so much information throughout this whole process, but why all the secrecy now? Why take away our access to VIN's? It was great to see so many cars built everyday. It helped build excitement, but now we're completely blind and frustrated. Other companies (Chrysler with Challenger) had a very simple web site that told you where your car was. How hard could that have been?

For me, my car comes when it comes. I don't have a long Camaro history like some of you. For those of you that were there Oct 13 when your dealership opened, they should be doing everything possible to get you your car. You guys deserve it more than anybody.

It's very easy to do with the production control system. You know how they manage the production schedule when they have a constraint? They enter the constraint into the system and then the system searches out all the orders with that constraint and kicks them aside. This also happens for other issues like transportation, hold-ups, etc. All they have to do here is search for RPO R6P and if the car does not have it, the car get's set aside.

It seems that when the news is not pleasing to the C5.com family the pattern is to say nothing at all. ABL was that way, the dealer car issue was that way and the brake weights were that way. So, I don't think either #1 or #2 is the answer. It is strickly a business decision. They want V6s for the unveil and Avis has probably paid cash for their cars. We haven't really paid anything to GM yet.

As to the order priority - who knows what the answer is but I guarantee you it's money related. There is no logical reason for shutting off the VIN site or not updating workbench or not issuing TPW unless you're hiding something - or corporate shortsightedness.

"Enthusiast loyalty" apparently goes only so far.

I didn't order till March 16th because that was the earliest I felt I would be able to swing it and also the wife only gave me the thumbs up 2 days before. I'm ok with waiting for everyone elses to be built before mine that ordered before I did. I share all of your frustration in you guys not getting your cars because they should be built before mine. Mine should be built before all these lot cars though! Sitting at 3000 for the second week and theres no excuse IMHO that anyone ordering befor me should be lower than me. What better advertising could they have than happy Camaro owners on the street, strip, show, or car cruise?

I'm in...i went to the GM blog link given on either this thread or another...but we need a petition to GM...maybe that would wake them up to the fact that how they are treating us pre-orders is freaking wrong and they more then likely wont get a recommendation to other from me even once i get my car...way to drop the ball GM.

I'm in: My dealer had 2 allocations and I am number 2. I ordered in Feb and still sitting at 1100. The one before me ordered Oct 13 VR, No hurst shifter and he is sitting at 1100 also. No information on when either will be picked up. I would be happy I the first one would at least start moving. That's what Pre means GM. FIRST

R6P folks have waited for long enough GM!!! Build early orders before any new dealer orders regardless of allocation. Stop treating your most loyal customers so unfairly
