If I'm adding a 3rd LED to a car with a 12000 vin....do I need any extra taps or harnesses?

If you get 3 of them you'll have enough. I tried the Alpena red LED's across my dash, and I would have needed 2 on the long piece of trim. I think Erick got them looking good on his car with just the one on each end.

If you have no use of the 3rd LED, do what I did and install it as a glovebox light. *NO DRILL*

Or get 5 and install these lights in the footwell area as well. *NO DRILL*

Yes that is right there not live but the guy that said he can reprogrammed the BCM may be Abel to make them work.

You need to do what you did for the lighting of your door handle's

And the 60K is for the dash connectors.

I ordered 3 lights (part #92238395 blue) from the dealer today. Since my car is a newer 2010 I plan to tap the purple wire (one on the driver side and 2x on the passenger side). I think this is the easiest way to connect for me. Thanks 2SS for getting this thread going and for all your input.

I'm using a total of 3 lights. One on the driver side and two on the passenger side. And I'll get video as soon as I get time and someone to hold the camera.

Unhappy Well...

I got my car back from the dealer. I didn't get the door panels wired with LED's because he didn't believe he had the ability to get them in the panels with out possibly breaking them. The dash lighting.. Eh idk.. The light does not shine right through it as I would have hoped. (Idk how you got your panel light up so well 2SSRS, but that's what I want real bad) As you can tell in the pics below.. It barley shines through. I suppose I need to sand it down in order to have the light pass through.. Idk what to do since I have no experience with this at all. Now one of my door panels are brighter than the other . The only reason I could think of is bc since he couldn't do the door panel lighting he placed the remaining LED's in the door panel that were left from the harness and it's placed higher in my passenger door leaving it brighter than the next. I was really hoping this would come out great and I would be happy, now I am in a pouty mood and don't know what I should do next. I took a pic of the LED's at different angles. Since I did not drill the door panels stick out a a tiny bit.. That's why the pic from the top angle is the brightest bc that's the LED pipe your seeing.. Not it shining through the door panel. Apparently the GM tech guy sanded it, but perhaps he needs to sand it some more? I know they work in a shop with all lights, but this is weak.. 2SSRS.. Help please? :(
