No then that would mean an all new platform. That would hurt the Camaro more then help. I doubt there is even market that would buy an AWD Camaro especially when price would only add to the problem.

it would be better if they put the LS9 in there along with carbon fiber fenders, etc to reduce weight. It would be nice to have the LS9's power with a couple of hundred pounds reduction in weight.

Anyway I see it the Z28 is going to be at least 55k to compensate the costs of the LSA/LS9 motor, better Brembo brakes, and other additions to the car..

As the Z/28 will weigh 200 to 300 pounds less than the CTS-V, it

may nail 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and run the quarter in the very low 12s.

This Z28 could be the fastest Chevy ponycar since the legendary ZL-1-powered COPO 9560 Camaros built 40 years ago.

A Z28 at 4100lbs and a 556hp LSA would have 7.37lbs per hp.
A Z06 weighs 3150lbs with its 505hp LS7, and has 6.24lbs per hp.

Advantage Corvette.

GM shouldn't just make the Z28 a manual that would really suck I hate manuals the transmission choice should be optional I love Chevy but Chevy made mistakes with limiting the Cobalt SS Z06 & ZR1 just with manual transmissions bad enough the fastest SS Camaro is a manual if I want to beat a challenger srt8 I have 2 have a damm stick that's pethetic come on GM

You see, I think this Z28 nonsense is a bunch of crap. First the government was restricting wasteful cars (Camaro SS could have been but was already slated for production) and now they are just going to add to the problem after they said they wouldn't? Dude, I just blew $50K on my car to have it set the way I wanted and forewent the convertible in the process because Chevrolet couldn't get their act together for 2010. Now with this lousy news, I have to settle for third best?! Car is a niche vehicle at best. Why waste time and resources on putting it out there? All I have to say is * you GM; * you and thanks for wasting my money and my time!

Sounds like someone's got a case of the mondays...

You forewent the convertible because you didn't want to wait a year? And now you're complaining about the Z28 model because you have an SS and want one?

No sympathy from me. Why didn't you wait for what you really wanted instead of giving in and regretting it?
