Maybe he wouldn't be so butt hurt if you would stop bringing up the rear.
I find it pretty hilarious that most of the people on this site that try and start forum riots between mustang and Camaro owner in fact....DO NOT OWN EITHER.

good deal. i love pony wars. give the camaro 1-2 years, it'll have something faster. then the mustang will revamp and be faster. it's a neverending process we call pony car wars, and a true muscle/pony car enthusiast loves it, and doesn't look at say "the camaro/mustang is faster, blah blah" but enjoy that another company is competing with you. i love it. so what who cares a mustang is faster, doesn't hurt me any. i love my camaro and everything about it, just as i'd hope a mustang follower would have the same love for his/her mustang.

yeah, by 2020 the camaro will have a turbodiesel 4 banger. haha.

and the cafe standards are kinda overwhelming, if you read the fine print, it says your lineup can still have cars that have power/poorer mileage, as long as you have a more eco and mpg efficient car in that lineup to at least choose from.

competition breeds forward progress. Like it not, we need each other in order to get the better product in the end from either company. As we have seen in the past when a company more or less outright dominates the market. A substandard product is released and there really isn't a whole lot we as the consumer can do but complain. And most of the time it's almost akin to pissing in the wind. Does about as much good too.

Because it was the fastest car on the market? I hope none of you made that mistake. I bought my Camaro because I think it's a beautiful car. I love it. And I'll love it for as long as it's willing to drive me to where I need to be. And when Mustang guys glare and rev and try to race me, I smile knowing my car is for styling and cruisin', not racing and bruisin'.

Edit: And it's still pretty fast... 312 HP is nothing to be ashamed of. It's fun... Really fun.

i love this camaro, mustang war, but correct me if i am wrong the driver has a lot to do with it. i own a 92 camaro v8 and it's an auto and my brother had a v6 mustang standard. he beat my by a fender then i drove his mustang and he beat me by half a car. i bet when people get there mustangs all bad$$ with the new 5.0 and can't drive it and then they get smoked my a camaro wonder what they will say. oh we raced at the track

I'll take a 2011 V6 Chevy Camaro over 2011 Ford Mustang V6 any day of the week, including Sunday. I despise Mustangs. I feel their styling is outdated, never quite had the hots for a Fox body...Now, the Camaro on the other hand, is +1000 ways better than the '86 IROC Z-28 I had...The best Camaro to date...and i'm loyal to GM...

The Mustang interior looks cheap as hell, it does not even wrap around to the doors, and it has those two "shelf like overhangs" that Mustangs have had since way back, nice to modernize. The Mustang may be lighter, but it feels cheap when you close the doors, trunk and hood. Nothing says cheap like a blue oval. I think they ripped that UGLY slanted rear end off of an old Mercury Capri and stuck it on there. Ohhhhh and do not let me forget that cheap looking brushed aluminum crap they haphazardly placed all over the interior, nothing says JC Whitney more than some cheap thin metal taped up all over the interior.

If not for the Camaro my TROLLING little friend, the Mustang would still be the under powered, slow GRANDMA/Rental Pony car, that it has ben for the last 7 years since the Camaro took it's vacation.

TROLL HAS JUST HAD HIS BREAKFAST!

If it wasn't for the Mustang then the Camaro wouldn't even exist. You do realize that don't you? Heck if it wasn't for the 2005 Mustang and it's retro style hitting a home run then our 2010 Camaro's wouldn't even exist neither.

Besides your statements are completely wrong. 2003-2004 Cobra Mustangs (which stock for stock are usually faster then a 2010 SS Camaro because they are lighter and have same hp) were out in between the Camaro's so called vacation as you call it and they were underated at about 420 hp and 0-60 in 4.5 seconds with quartermile times of 12.7, lets not forget the Roush Mustangs and Saleens. GT-500 Cobras, some had 500 hp, some had 620 and some even came with over 700 hp. Mach 1 Mustangs, and etc. I may have a 2010 Camaro V6 but I know my cars unlike you.

The price tag difference is $1,425.00.

Dollar for dollar, that's easily an exhaust and an intake. The numbers would improve significantly considering how restricted the Camaro V6 is.

Ford is also claiming 30 MPG, Is that official? Or is this a guess?

No the EPA rated the auto v6 at 31, not 30, mpg.

Also remember unlike the 6.2 having a decent bit more cubes than the 5.0 on the auto side of things the ford has a few more cubic inches over the chevy v6.

Theoretically the v6 in the Ford has more potential for power than the v6 in the Camaro.

And the cars should respond nearly the same mod for mod.
