I looked at installing them but didn't see much benefit. So no, I didn't even try.

Throttle body opening is just under 3" diameter (~7 sq in) and the stock intake inlet was about 3" x 3" (9 sq in). The Vararam intake isn't starving for air with its design. When you are moving, the air hitting the scoop is allowed to fan out off the sides of scoop as it moves up towards the intake. This allows the incoming air to reach the side areas of the intake as well.

I totally understand how my questions could have been misconstrued as saying it's a bad product. That is not my intention at all. I have very high hopes for this product and appreciate all of the effort that has been put into it by all concerned!

67GTO...maybe its just the angle of your picture, but looks like the air inlet area is even tighter than other pics I've seen. Do you have the right amount of clearance there? As stated before, a keyfob should between..with just a tad bit of extra space.
