Is the notchy feeling normal going into second? It can be felt when the car is turned on or off. Not a grind, just feels like a notch. Input appreciated.

+1 Rick you are absolutely correct. I went to my dealer to document what I am hearing and feeling. I got the usual lip service as many have stated. BUT at least it is documented. Anyone having problems should go to their dealer if the transmission is acting up and it is UNDER WARRANTY! Don't mess up your warranty by trying to fix it with aftermarket parts etc. We paid good bucks for these cars and deserve/demand them to be made to perform as intended.

Mine's in right now getting the trans replaced with a new one! I just hope that the new one isn't notchy too! My GM rep said this is a brand new trans and that everything has been "centered". I don't know what that means but I kinda think that maybe they have all the syncros in the middle of the tolerance, if that makes sense. Anyone know if the syncros and blocking rings are adjustable or not?

I think Rick@Rkt56 can answer this best. What I just discovered is the 2011 STS-V Sedan comes with the Tremec 6060. It would be nice if this was a stouter version and could be a swap out item. How about it Rick???

Please dont quote me on this but i was viewing a website (forget where) but there was talk about the transmission issues with this 6060. One person was saying he brought his camaro into a Dealer and his vehicle "was found to be within the vin# range of the trans issues"

Now many people can take that different ways, and or the dealer guy could be blowing smoke up his corn hole. But if what he quoted the guy said was true they must have figured out an issue and the newer camaros might not have this issue.

Im hoping this is true with my order next month......Hope the guy wasnt making stuff up

The blocking ring/cones/synchros/gears are NOT adjustable. The blockers and cones wear over time and there are specific clearances when they must be replaced.

The main shaft and counter (cluster) shafts are preloaded for 0.002" per GM manual. This is so when the transmission warms up, there will be 0.00" clearance.

I have yet to get a Camaro in so I can go through it. When I do, I'll have a lot of pictures to post!

Rick thanks again for replying to my initial email and getting involved with this board as fast as you did. I'm surprised no one in that area has stepped up. If you were here in CA, I would have brought my car to you already.
