Sorry, not going to happen... with your 10. You might pass a 10GT or a GT wearing a fake 5.0 badge..but it just absoutely will not happen with a real 5.0...not from whats comeing out from EVERY single review thats had their hands on one.

Unless you have done mods, ..then no.

I have been in this car game for a long time, and if you did a little more than read car mags you might know that magazine test can be way off, especialy when testing with cars that are probably pre production press cars.

We were not talking about the 10s, I paid like 27k for my car as a daily driver not as a racer. How much did yours cost?

Whats the difference? Passion means looking at the facts..as best as they can be gleaned from whats available, analyzing and trying to have an honest argument. Fanoboism means blindly just saying one is better and making threats without actually trying to be objective.

Man, it's a complete drivers race with a tenth lead in the 1/4 mile. Either one could win. With equal drivers it looks like the '11 GT tops the '10 SS ever so slightly, but if we were all amazing drivers...

My point is I think despite the hopes and dreams of the blue oval camp the 2011 cars that wind up on the dealer lot's will not run like the press cars that are being tested now. So to state my point again until I run across one of these "cough cough" 12 second 2011 mustangs I will contiue to believe my super sport is the supeior car. I guess you can call me a fan boy, maybe thats why I hang out on a camaro site

I think this is the point in the discussion where we agree that if we have to have such a detailed debate between the two..both are damm fine cars.

I am with you..I am eagerly awaiting more proof...and maybe even what the 2011 camaro does.

It's silly to think that these aren't the real times for the Mustang. I guarantee that 12.8 will be possible from a 2011 GT.

However, we must also remember that neither Dodge nor Chevy have released the information on the Challenger and Camaro.

There's a big difference from Joe Average modding their car in the garage and GM making the exact same changes. As others have pointed out, any change in the Camaro's powertrain will require it to be re-certified. That costs money and time. In case you missed it, GM is not rolling in dough these days.

Love that Grabber Blue! I'm usually a blue car guy, but the Camaro's blue choices didn't do it for me. I think the Camaro looks 100x better than the Mustang, but if I could have my car in that color, I'd be very happy

I think the styling is no-where close to as nice as the 5th gen SS, and I think they provided a "juiced" version for testing. I'm assuming the HP # they stated was an estimated @ the crank horsepower reading? Why wouldn't they say what they got @ the wheels?? Something is fishy here...
