I have started taking my car into my dealer and I TELL THEM TO GET IT READY FOR THE TRACK. They will actually be offering track day services there this year. They also have a performance clinic with a race car and team there. That combined with my racing brake pads and track decals, I'm not hiding anything from them about this. Now if I have a clutch issue, or any other issue while at the track, I doubt that same dealer would ever cover it under warranty, (if any abuse can be shown.) The fact that I have advertised taking the car to a track means nothing because they can not prove it was caused by abuse unless they see evidence of it (like the melted rubber, etc.) But if I had repeat problems like Mark did after getting it inspected/fixed, I think I would just save myself the headaches and take it to a clutch/performance specialist and tell them to give me a heavy duty clutch system that can handle hours and hours of track time. Done. I want to have fun and not worry about if my clutch is up to the task. I hope you guys can get your cars back put on the track for more days at Laguna and the other tracks out here! The 1LE wants to be driven and put back hot.

Momentum Chevy is awesome though, they just finished the cleanest E-Force install on my 14' Camaro SS, they are soon doing my 1LE Suspension Upgrade, and already did my 3.91 Gears.

This week they are installing my new spark plugs and mud flaps.

So Chevy builds and advertises a track car, but then voids the warranty if you drive it as designed?
Does Ford and Dodge do this as well?
If not, time to switch to another brand of car.
I hate seeing people ripped off.

Ford can void the warranty on the Mustang if you use the line lock they built in and advertised.

Nissan will void the warranty on a GT-R if you use the launch control more than x number of times.

Good luck with a different manufacturer. The only car that will be warrantied for track use is the one that you pay for that warranty in the astronomical up front cost.

I know it's hard to hear, but it is not Chevy's job to pay for your racing expenses.
"Sh1t happens" "If you play, you got to pay" and other sayings my dad would tell me when I'm down .
I broke a $2000 tcase launching my Evo , I sounded just like you do now when the warranty was denied, I had to pay , I also learned a lesson . See how many time I was used

The Z/28 and ZL1 have track warranties, the SS does not. Some corvette models, at least the C6's, had track warranties as well.

Yep, that's correct. Hence if you rev to redline they can claim you were abusing the vehicle. Which is why I had to reset a few things a while ago when I bent two piston rods. Yet it cuts fuel when you hit rev limiter anyways.

I guess you did not read before spouting off "shit happens"...So please explain to me how a condtion that occurs ONLY UNDER A TRACK SETTING, you know a 2-3 shift 20mph or so above the speed limit on most roads could be found under street driving conditions. This happened the very first shif, and those after. It is not "track related" if it was, I would just fix it....effed up my rotors....I fixed them, got a flat, I fixed it, 2-3 grind EVERYTIME., THEY need to fix it.

Ok......, you over heated the clutch disk and it's wraped.
Ever time that you beat on it the disk gets hot and a little out of shape requiring more room/travel to fully disengage from the flywheel . The 3rd gear synchro might be a little more touchy than the others.
Or you banged 2-3 shift to hard and pissed off the synchros.
Man I do not know what is wrong with you car , good luck with how ever you get it fixed and it sounds like what ever path you take it will not be easy one .

The warranty book that comes with a V6 camaro is the same as a Z28. I've yet to see anything in writing that says anything about a track warranty. I've only seems video of a Chevy engineer trying to sell cars by saying "if you brake this on the track, call me and I'll warranty it for you."

Yes, which is why I say that salesmen say anything to sell. But you only get what you actually sign for on paper.

That would bee too cool if any car company gave that full competition or a full track performance warranty.
