They intentionally pulled the "chicklets" from production, from all GM products- not just Camaro, or Chevrolet. GM felt it would only remind the consumer of the bailout...

Sometimes just the Large number of cars sold makes people just rag them to death thinking they won't ever be collectable.. and those that keep theirs pristeen and untouched will benefit... Just think of everyone doing mods and throwing away the origonal parts thinking they will never be collectible.. every time somebody does that makes the untouched cars a little more valuable...

So don't ever think they couldn't be collectable.. because you and nobody else can predict the future.
I'm not going to disagree with you. But what exactly will you get from the car being a collectable 50 years from now? Monetary gains mean nothing to me. Maybe that's why I see it that way. Enjoy your car while you can. because in 40-50 years you don't know if you'll be able to have the same enjoyments you have now.

I know it wasn't me. I sold a 68 back in 81 with a rebuilt M-22 in the trunk and it had a 12 bolt posi-traction rear end on it for $1400.
My brother bought a 1969 RS with the 350 and houndstooth for $650 back in 78. He sold it to another brother who had someone steal the front end off it. I passed on a 68 SS 396/325 for $1500 around 83 or 84 because of the rust.
Oh yeah, I gave away, yes I gave away a Holley carb to my next door neighbor who kept bugging me for it. He was about 14. It came off a 70 Z/28. I was 18 and paid to have it rebuilt and it just kept flooding out on me. I bought a new Holley. I think it was around $80 dollars.

What's the deal with GM chicklet badges?

some of the cars having the little metal square GM emblem on the lower front fenders and some not??

Mine doesn't and I've seen a bunch that do have em.

Just curious,
Ivan
