my thoughts exactly. the whole set up looks cheap. those little tiny knobs, the sticker-looking paint on the a/c temp and what not. ugghh. underwhelming indeed. and they dont even help you out by making it after-market compatible. That damn exhaust better sound good, so anyone mocking my cheap-as# interior will shut up.

Questions about the trunk...I attached a pic! We got a ton in there! Another of the backseat. And I took one with a Porsche in the side mirror-trailing us! A shot of the radio at night lit up (that green light toward the bottom is a cell phone charger--so before you guys freak )

A few asked questions about interest in the car on the way down and all I can say is WOW!! I had no idea what we were in for! We were followed quite a bit, people tailing, then swerving to get a side picture, and then cutting you off so they could get a shot of the front! It was wild! After my husband and I realized a lot of people in foreign cars were interested (Thumbs up, pictures, etc.) I tallied what cars did what and about 50% were in foreign cars! A LOT of pickups! A few Camaros Like the red SS that followed us for quite awhile! Gas Station stops were an event--I ended up taking pictures of people with the car with my camera and sent them to their email if they did not have a camera on them! A lot of interest! Men and women-many said their first cars were Camaros. Wide range of ages too. Most said that the car looked better than pictures and they were very impressed with the interior in person. Of course many wanted to hear the engine rev, etc.

Well, I will take more pics as promised and I will try to get some audio (no promises here, I will need some help with this and my husband thinks I have lost my mind posting all this ) Now he knows how I learned as much about the Camaro as I did! All to keep up with him!
It's funny but you just described the reactions I got whit my Saturn Sky when I got it back in March of 2006. Since I got the 351st one built you can imagine that there were not many out on the roads and many had no clue what it even was. (some people still ask me what it is) The same type people you describe were also the ones interested in my Sky.
It is an experience that you will never forget. And all you People that get your Camaros before many know what it is will be in for a real treat. always plan some extra time for talking to others about the car, because you are going to need it.

Geno,

Sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.

As far as the car goes...I think the halo's from the HID's look cool, BUT they are nothing in comparison to the visibility the HID's put out over the standard lights. I have driven next to cars with HID's and the color and pattern they put out is so much better. That is the main reason I am getting the RS package. I really don't care for the wheel color and that is about the only other thing you get with the SS. I would recommend it highly, I think you will be very happy.

You know what sucks? All those lucky SOBs that happened to run into HeatheR on her travels and got pics with the ca, got to see it in person, got to HEAR it....and nonw are Camaro5 members!

The positive to that is that they are possibly converts. The downside is those of us who have obsessed for WAY too long are still grasping for more.

Miami, huh? I wonder how long you'll be in the area, because I would make the 6-hour round trip without missing a beat to see the car while I'm away from work!
