The seller is hawk motorsports. They are a recycler so I"m sure they had the parts from other vehicles and pieced it back together. If you look at their webpage they purchase many salvaged vehicles. Never hurts to ask for something big and then meet in the middle. I'm sure they can afford to hang on to it until they get what they want. I believe they are also a vendor on this forum.

Also I am interested in the wrecked count of 50. Are these cars that were completely unsalvageable or would a car that was a rebuilt salvage be considered in this number? |

I wouldnt touch the car until they got to the mid-high 20’s. It needs body components, paint, on top of it missing ~6k$ in brake pieces. (1440$/rotor and 450x2 for pads, albeit its been a long time since ive priced it all out). The 50 salvage cars, are mostly total losses. A couple of them have been put back on the road. Much like this car, its a salvage title car, but obviously driveable. In general, a salvage vehicle has an extremely diminished value. You’re never going to get your money back in most cases. We see it all the time down here with our floods. You can score badass cars for next to nothing, “professionally repaired” or not. |

Buying a salvage or rtitle needs to a bargain to begin with.
You take all the risk on car. No market value available on them. You want to sell it later? You gotta find someone with the same motivation or desperation you had when you bought it... ...Or just find an uneducated consumer to take advantage of... That's what hawks is hoping for.

Light damage ripped it apart
It will buff right out.
![]() Note it ripped the strut right off. Do some partial repairs and make $10k off it? Someone else besides me feel they overcharge. |

Holy cow, it never clicked that was the same car. I was holding off on this, but, they should be ashamed of themselves. BTW, it got reduced to 29,995.

Lol so they paid $23,000 for the car. Nevermind then I was hoping that as it sits they might dip in the low $20k's but not if they bought it for $23k.
Even for $25K you would still probably have at least another $5K wrapped up to get it as close to perfect as it will ever be. To have $30K wrapped up in a Salvage title car when you can get a clean title for high $30k's does not make sense. Personally I felt if you could get out the door completely repaired for around $25K then this may be worth it for someone who is not interested in resale value. |
