So far you've got some really good advise on how to remove it.. if all else fails try the following:
Quote:
Currently the #1 all in one virus tool out there (and proven) is called "kapersky" found at www.kapersky.com The reason being.. Norton, McAfee or even Panda Antivirus are widely used that most viruses have a way around them now. Kapersky is fairly new and have been shown to catch/detect and fix/remove more viruses then any other antivirus. This coming from a Corporate IT Technician.. (me) but Im sure soon it will not be #1 as they all die from people learning ways around them.

Working on it, i have a business trip tomorrow and will be in a hotel all night so I think I'm gonna get it there. But I am going to give it a shot tonight.

Do you have vista or XP?
if you have vista download avg free, run it. then type in the path names for the infections it finds in windows explorer and delete the infected files. empty recycle bin. and reboot. you should be good then. If you have XP you can try the same thing and for some reason it only works 50/50 i've had to format a few comps that had that. |

Yeah Malawarebytes is what I use at our computer shop. Also Combofix in combination with Malawarebytes. Then just to make sure I run SpyBot Search and Destroy at the end.

Like the others said, run Windows Defender and if you know the file that the virus is originating from, delete..delete..delete
