It's.... OIL! Huzzah! You're adding oil to your oil. Plus, some sweetened oil, so it smells better and makes you happy as you pour it in. Complete waste of money. EDIT: Sorry, that's for the aerosol Prolong. This is for the transmission additive. Looks like it's more oils and some oils, and more oils. Yep. Still keeping those aromatics in so it smells super pretty!

Garbage, all of them. Put Lube Gard in my 96 vette. 2 months later, I rebuilt the trans due to parished seals. My buddy used Lucas in his 2002 Camaro, same results. Other than a lighter wallet and a feeling of getting kicked in the balls, you'll have nothing to show for. Change the fuild/filter per the recommended schedule and don't skimp on quality fluids. All else is garbage.

I am about to get transmission fluid and Filter change in my 2015 Camaro LS soon, but before I get it done, do you Camaro owners ever get Transmission fluid flush or Transmission fluid /Filter change? The Camaro manual states Fluid change/filter change. Scotty Kilmer (YouTube Mechanic) strongly avoids Transmission flushes for most cars because it may be bad for the transmission in the long run. He strongly recommends just changing transmission/filter instead.
Secondly, does the 2015 Camaros have CVT Transmission? Let me know what is your best advice? |

I would NOT do a flush. A drain and refill is best. No CVT crap on the Camaro.

DONT flush it. You will likely regret it in short order. Drain it, pull the pan change the filter put it back together and follow the correct procedure to fill it, check the level and top it off.

3rd here to tell you NO FLUSH.
Also as said above, the Camaro does NOT have a CVT transmission regardless of your engine type...thank god. Changing your fluid and filter is safe on a healthy transmission.

Thanks guys for the advice, rather than a flush, I went ahead and just got the transmission fluid with Dexron 6 synthetic and filter replaced. I went ahead and let the mechanic put in prolong. I got my Camaro back and took it for a drive into the freeway, and the acceleration is a lot quicker and smoother at high speeds over 55 mph. Before, there was a bit drag in the acceleration, but now my car runs so much faster. I love it!

The only additive I have used in automatic transmissions, power steering and all my floor jacks is K&W Trans-X. Does what it says https://www.walmart.com/ip/K-W-Trans...waAqSnEALw_wcB One of my cars has over 300k miles using transX still works like new. Works great in floor jacks too.
