Ok...I'm getting jealous of you northern "we get snow and you get none" guys again.:( Sure, we get freezing rain...a 1/4 inch of ice...some sleet....and not a single flake of snow.

Sorry for the "snow pics." Tag.
Moose LOVES the snow. He'll bury himself in it and sit out there for hours like it's summer! I cannot get him to come back into the house when there's snow outside. |

No need to be sorry. I love the pix! I just wish we could get a foot of snow down here once in a while. I love it up north and only wish we could get back up to Mt. Hood to do some snowboarding again. Love the snow...just love it...and miss it.

Here is my one and only pet:
This is Sunny, my cool as hell orange short hair tabby cat. I don't know how old he is, but I do know that when we got him the FIRST George Bush was president . I have had him for the 7 years I lived in NY, 7 years in florida, and year or 2 before that. He is quite the character, here is a pic I took of him when he was about 5 or 6 years old, back in florida. When he goes away, I will be VERY bummed out, as he is the 2nd best damn cat i have ever had.

Cute pictures, Raven. Like the one flying through the air.
My brother bred Bosch...one of the two female black labs. She had 6 pups. My brother sold off 5 keeping the monster pup for himself (named Sherman...as in the tank...very suiting). I don't know if/when either of two will be bred again. My brother had talked about it, but it was a lot of work. So far, Bosch is the only one of the two to have puppies and it was her first litter. If you're intersted, LMK and I'll talk to my bro to see if he has any plans in the works. They are registered, fully papered, etc. |

Dog pack attacks alligator
At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty.
The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator", can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and survival of the pack mentality bred into the canines. The remarkable photograph attached below came courtesy of Nature Magazine. Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
