I am happy with the Nittos so far but the local tire shop I deal with can't get them because they sell Toyo (Nitto's parent comapny so they have to sell one or the other but not both) but they also carry Conti's and these Extreme Contact DWS's seem to get good feedback.
I have no idea how they hold on the track. I have heard of people taking them out there and them holding up but I do not know for sure. Wish I could help you out.

I don't think they would be very good at the track (just my opinion). They have a very high treadwear rating (520 I believe), which usually means that the rubber compound is pretty hard. And if the rubber compound is fairly hard like that, I would think the traction probably suffers because of that. Softer Compound usually means more traction. I'm sure they are wonderful for the street (I plan on getting some myself), but as far as a "track tire", I wouldn't push the car too hard.

Well, give me a "holla" when you're out here! There is a terrific cruise night on the first Thursday of every month that is definitely worth attending. Hope to hear from ya. (Sorry, didn't mean to jack the thread!!!)

Just got a set of these installed today. First impressions are very good. They ride much smoother and way quieter than the stock Pirellis. They are a lot easier to break loose though, as I could easily chirp them at stop lights on the way home. That almost never happened with the Pirellis. I assume that's a combination of them being brand new and also a little less sticky compound than the P Zeros.

So far, so good- very impressed. Durability we will have to wait and see

I have them and they are surprisingly great track tires! Once they get some good heat in them they are good for the auto cross being an all season tire. I went with 295 wide rears and stock fronts on teh 20" rims.

Yeah $900 isn't realistic. $1200+200 Discount Tire replacement certs. That's what I paid.

Don't know about all four tires. At the time I only bought new 315s (aug 2010), for $238 per tire from discount tire plus install etc.

Ordered a set of them in the stock sizes from the local Discount Tire shop yesterday. Paid $260 each for them. I also ordered the Foose Legend 6 black wheels and the sensors for a complete package. Come on winter months, we are ready!
