Continental ExtremeContact DWS
FYI, TireRack now has - Continental ExtremeContact DWS Tires in stock, both front "245/45/20" and back "275/40/20" tires. They are all season and should last longer due to a higher tread wear rating than the OEM's and they cost less.
![]() Longer tread life only if you control the burnouts. |

Continental part # 15479880000 (fronts) Continental part # 15459960000 (rears) I had an earlier version of these on my Crossfire and was very pleased. The GM at my Discount Tire said he'd done the Continental dog/pony show with these and was very impressed with the ride and drive. I'm replacing my Pirelli's as soon as someone would like to buy a set of OEM gently used ones.

How are these in the snow? I've been looking for some good all-seasons, and these sound like the ones.
In this area, the roads are clear and dry most of the time. When it snows, there may be a small layer of snow/ice on the streets. Sometimes during heavy snowfall, you can't see the road at all... will these tires be fine then? I don't want snow tires because the percentage of time spent driving in snow is very low, since they plow the streets pretty quickly. And the stock summer tires didn't even budge in the snow... just lots of spinning. |
