It does not increase hp. It increases your hp/weight ratio. You have the same hp and torque, but have less weight that it's got to move thus increasing your performance.

They are. But no one has designed an intake/hood set-up, yet? I think? I haven't found one yet? Anyone do this, yet? - Brownie

I don't think #8 is correct.

There is a functional hood for the V6 and V8. They use the same hood and it's the MPD "Z Force" hood. It has a ram-air hood scoop that tunnels air over to the area of the CAI filter and it is sealed off. The same hood also features a functional cowl induction as well.

As KGA has stated above there are actually several companies that have created functional hoods that are either ram-air or a scoop that forces air into a intake box area. I know the one listed above, nickey chicago, and several others have done this.

Heres a question....Is the price of $270 really worth about 12 HP???? Thats 22.50 bucks per HP. That blows imo.

Yea i would drop cash on a turbo system, that would be a huge gain in HP, but 12 HP isnt even noticeable right?

If you get a turbo for 6k that adds 150hp, that's $40 per hp. That doesn't include the price for install...

there's not going to be a huge difference, but you should be able to feel it some. I think it was money well spent, personally. Maybe you can go to a local camaro meet and see if anyone has just intake on their v6. Granted i'm sure it's pretty hard to find other v6's that modify their cars. lol

I think if you plan on going turbo, then don't spend the money on the intake. unless it's going to be a few years.

Absolutely. I wasn't trying to give answers as gospel. I was giving answers based on my research, past knowledge, and opinion. Sorry if I came across otherwise.
