Yeah, i have the stillen front splitter on my V6

http://spadesv6.blogspot.com/2010/08...installed.html

And I have to say, I agree with you guys... Stillen's products was just not up to par. The splitter is polyurethane, and it wasn't even molded properly. It wasn't symmetrical, I had to sand off things. It came with crappy double sided tape, and 3 screws... In the instructions it said that it comes with 4. I asked the lady who sold it to me at stillen, and she said "3 is fine, and double sided tape is no problem".

WRONG, the splitter came off, and I had to re install it with industrial grade silicone. Another person I know on this forum got the splitter after seeing mine, and he said he bought 3M automotive tape, which was 100x better than the tape that came with the splitter.

I have to say, Stillen seems to have lots of service reps who just care about the money. I'm waiting on a package now, and it's still not here. tsk tsk. Sorry had to share my experience with them as well

I've heard first hand that the fitment on that front splitter is not very good.

We build and produce all the urethane parts here in Costa Mesa. We make the molds, pour the urethane, trim, and prepare all the parts here.

The splitter is urethane, and we have fitted it on a lot of customers cars locally. Urethane is flexible, and must be test fit to make sure it does line up with your car correctly.

Some people have had problems with the install on the urethane parts, and we always will do our best to assist customers with fitment, or install issues.

Here is a quote, and question from the above thread.

Nope, i think i got it in the perfect position, there are no gaps under the fog lights (or the lack of fog lights on my car ). The only issue i see is on the driver side right where the splitter ends at the fender edge....The splitter has a lip on that side and doesnt lay flush.....which is causing alittle tape pull up. So i have 2 options as of right now, File down the lip on the edge of the splitter so it lays flush and tape sticks. Or just add another layer of 3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape to fill in the gap. Its not a huge gap, but i am super picky about these things.....you dont even notice, unless you get right down close to it.

From the instructions for fitting urethane parts.

NOTE: Preparation of the urethane surfaces to be painted is important to achieve proper fit and finish. However, these components are flexible and attention should be paid to the type of paint chosen for these applications.

NOTES ABOUT INSTALLATION, CLEANING, AND PAINTING

Pre-fit all pieces to the vehicle. Once you are assured that you have the right aero kit you may proceed. If you don’t, please call Stillen right away.

We highly recommend using masking tape anywhere the aero kit may be touching the vehicle body to prevent scratches during the pre-fit.
Do any sanding, filing, or spacing necessary (before painting) for a clean tight fit. Spending the extra time now will assure you of a perfect “factory” installation.

The Front Splitter includes 5 feet of 3M 5314 Automotive Acrylic Foam Tape. We only use 3M tape, and we have been using it for years on parts. If the parts are prepared and cleaned correctly, then there should be no problems with the 3M product. However, if the areas are not prepared correctly, and the adhesive can not stick to the surface, and you will have install issues.

Sorry that some people have had issues, I am here to try and help you solve those issues.

I would think twice about ordering from your website based on your repsonses.

You should be concerned about Entallie's issue with the company in which you represent. If it was one day ago or 3 years ago, you should still treat him like he is the only customer your company has. No matter who is right, the complete objective is to ensure he is or can be a happy customer. EVERYONE benefits from that type of customer service.
Actually when Sean came onto a public forum and gave his opinion as a representative of Stillen he made it everyone's business. Personally I don't like his attitude and from the OP's story I get the impression that customer service it not very good with Stillen. I don't need to think twice. I would take my business elsewhere.
