For those who drive around in "S" most of the time, do your MPGs take a big hit?
Mine's gotten better. I was averaging under 17 around town in D. Since I started driving only in S I'm up to 18mpg.

I tried out Sport Mode when lapping on Texas Motor Speedway last weekend...aggressive shifts, higher RPMs, all around fun! My commute is too short to use this every day but it's nice to have for us auto folks.

Man, they way you talk about it, people are replacing clutches as fast they are changing tires around here?

SORRY not being a smart ass but with 500rwhp+ m6 drive will need more upgrades and there expensive. i had to do l99 to ls3 swap afm & dod delete so one way or another we will have to pay to play. auto is just easier on the drivetrain. i would love to have a m6 its more fun but i have a fxxxxx up left leg now.

Yeah, sport mode is fun stuff! Next time experiment on a long empty road... cruise along at 40-50MPH in D, your gas pedal should be only 1/4 depressed... then step on the gas to 2/4 you'll pick up speed, but then SHIFT INTO S MODE! You'll see your car down shift and ROAR =D Right there, you can feel the difference... I like doing that sometimes lol, its an awesome transformation.

If you push the Stabiltrak button one time it turns off traction control ... correct?

If you push it twice, it goes into sport mode .... correct?

And if you hold it down for 10 seconds or so, it turns everything off .... correct?

When I do that I get both symbols lite up on the display? but I cannot tell much difference between that and the sport mode?

Sport mode is when you put the shifter into M but don't use the paddles. It has nothing to do with the traction control systems.

All I know is the shift points are higher now and I love that! I am keeping it in sport mode all the time. I don't worry about gas mileage cuz I bought the car to drive. I mean getting good mileage AND having the power is great but gas mileage isn't a priority for me. Glad I found sport mode!

I was actually referring to the guy that said the OP should get a M6, not you.

I'll never drive a manual. I don't care if I get made fun of. I'm all about having an automatic and apparently so is the majority of camaro buyers from what statistics I've seen.
