I just got my first oil change a ~1700 mile. And I took advantage having it up on the rack to get a look at the under carriage. That is when I noticed my first really small dent on the drivers door... Bummer but can not really see it unless you are looking for it. Will have to look into a body guy to pop it out

I bought an 87 Buick grand national that had a ton of dents, figured it would be a major deal to fix. Called out a dentless guy to fix it, he spent 6 ours on the car. Perfect, even me looking for a dent, I could not. Let them fix it then if it is not perfect bitch, you gotta give them the chance to make it right.

its a car and it going to get used, it wont stay new forever if you use it.

I dinged my rear bumper, I just nudged a 2x4 but it still took the paint off. I scratched the bottom of the front bumper also, to make it worse its ABM so even if I want it fixed, it'll be a pain.

Re-touched paint is (well, can be) higher quality then factory paint due to the materials and methods they can use. Food for thought.

There are skilled professional techs, and there are mouth-breathing knuckledraggers.

A skilled professional has padding on the corners of their hoist and takes great care not to damage customer's cars. A mouth breather blames the wind.

On the ticket for the dent repair, ask them to make a note - "this is why I will never spend another dollar here, please remove me from all contact lists."

I feel your pain. I had the dealer body shop fix a scuff in my rear bumper and the workmanship was so poor I regretted not respraying it my self in my garage. I made them redo the whole thing. I was with out my car for two weeks and they never even offered me a rental. Still not show room quality but only noticeable if you look close which you know I do.

I,m an ASE certified master tech. I once tripped and pushed the drivers door of a Ranger into my PADDED lift and dented it. I had it fixed. Unless you were there you shouldn't be making these immature demeaning post. You know, things happen. Thats why we shop owners pay insurance.

Got an appointment Monday morning to bring it in. They said they would give me a rental for a couple days. Better be another ss or a used vette, probably wishful thinking.

Little Bumps

I was washing mine today, and noticed little bumps, on the left fender, and 1 on the right.. These are not noticable, unless you look real hard, in the right light... I was moving some stuff, from above my garage, and I dropped a cardboard box.. Didnt seem to hurt anything.. I backed out car and noticed a dent in right door!! Bugged me, as I have had car 2 weeks.. I cannot see dent from the middle, or from the back, just the right spot from the front.. The bumps in the front fenders are probably from pushing it around at car shows.. The right door may be a manufacturing flaw.. I felt better after washing it... I will get a dent guy to look at it, before I put it away for winter, in next 2-3 weeks.. As we get closer to our cars(washing) we see every little thing...I guess I could always trade it on a Z28 (next year?)

I brought mine in to get checked out for the some perceived issues only to get it back with scratches on the roof above the drivers door. The number tent that they use to identify the order of service was removed improperly. They took two passes at fixin' it only to leave it still slightly imperfect.
That's messed up. Needless to say, I feel your pain. I hope it gets fixed correctly...the first time.
