The best 60' I ever ran was a 2.2 on the TA radials....as everyone else says, better tires.

Do you folks think the Lakewood 21606 series traction bars will help? They are 1/3 the cost and much easier to install. Remember this is a street car with only a little track time in its future (2-3 times a year).
CalTracks are one of the best. Comp Engineering makes some slide-a-links that are top-notch and adjustable. If money's an issue, check out Jegs.com. They got a version of what used to be SSM lift-bars. I've got a set on my '68 and a set of traction bars like the Lakewoods on my '67. The '68 with the Jegster lift-bars hooks a ton harder than the '67.

The Nitto 555R's (275/50-15) are installed. I will be trying them out this weekend (4/2/2011) at the Pony Car Wars at SGMP weather permitting. So far they are great on the street.

My thought is to start at 20 psi cold pressure. What do you folks think?

Nice, I might hit the trck in my 10 this sat! I would set the tires around 22 and work your way down to about 16 and see what happens. Go down 2 lbs each run.

The suspension mods worked. The car hooked well and straight. I had problems on the top end but it was engine not suspension.
