New LED Sidelights

Just got some Showstopper LED Sidelights in a Group Buy. These things look awesome. Now I need to find a wiring harness to hook the sidelights up to the turn signals so the LEDs will flash with the signals.

Attached are some pictures - sorry for the poor quality.

So got some LED DRL bulbs and Chrome colored flasher bulbs from Autolumination. I like that my DRL light color matches my HIDs. Now I just need to figure out how to wire my DRL and Halos to be on at the same time.

I also installed a wiring harness to have the front LED side markers flash with the front turn signals. Rather than paying $75 for a wiring harness, I found some resistors and diodes and did it myself for only $5 per light.

I have been trying to figure out how to get the rear LED sidemarkers to flash along with my turn signals. The hard part was that I could not wire to the rear flashers, otherwise, when I hit the brake, the side markers would also come on. So I ended up running wire from the front turn signal to the rear of the car for each rear side marker. Total cost was about $30 for parts and wire, time investment was about a week to figure this all out and run the wiring. So now, both side LEDs flash wth the turn signals - not that anyone other me would notice. If I can figure out how to post a video, I will get one up showing the lights.

Ordered a Elite Engineering Catch Can and just finished installing it tonight. This is one quality product and installation was very simple. I did notice that there was some oily residue on the intake into the engine from the PCV so I hope that this will solve that problem. I will probably need to run some cleaner through the throttle body to get all that residue out of the engine intake.

I also installed a bunch of LED lights that I purchased from autolumination.com They do not come with as nice a guarantee as AAC, but they were a heck of a lot cheaper.

Also did the mod to add a light to the Glove Box. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58958 Instead of just using a single LED, I used a 1 inch X 1 inch panel of LED lights (also from autolumination.com).

Attended the SoCal Camaro 5 Cruise and meet-up at Pechanga. It was a great time and a lot of fun. Some Pics of my Camaro.

Picked up an Injen CAI today from a fellow SOCAL Camaro5 member. Just finished the install. From what I can see of it, it was very well made and fit very well. Some of the instructions for the 2010 Camaro were a little different for the 2011, but overall, good fit and finish.

Okay, so I have been off this thread for about a year, but a lot has happened. To bring things up to date:

I have installed the following:

Pfadt front and rear sway bars with Pfadt endlinks
LEDs for all interior lights, trunk and license
Rear Billet bow tie with a custom blue LED surround
Hawk Performance Pads for the track
Stainless Steel brake lines
A-pillar dual gauge cluster wrapped in vinyl carbon fiber (also wrapped the passenger side to match)
PLX multi-function digital gauge

I was also up at Willow Springs running the Streets of Willow for a track day. The sway bars and Hawk pads really helps. I switched to Hawk Ceramic for street use as the performance pads were a little too aggressive for everyday driving.

The Pfadt sways helped a lot with body roll and understeer on the track. Night and day difference from stock.

Unfortunately, I had a little run in with a guard rail while driving out to the desert. Damage to the front right headlight, facia, right fender, door, rear quarter panel and rear bumper. I also damaged something in the suspension, so the car would not drive straight and had to be towed about 80 miles to get home. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

The sad part of all this was that I was not even driving it hard around the corner. My son was with me and he even acknowledges that I was doing the speed limit - 40mph. My guess is that since it was a desert road, there must have been some sand or something that caused me to lose traction enough that when I turned, the car kept going straight. Thank goodness for insurance.

These are not the prettest pictures:

The car was in the shop for 3 months awaiting parts and getting repaired. I will say that they did a great job on everything. What amazed me was that in order to repair the gills properly, the shop ordered a new quarter panel. Well, GM does not just sell quarter panels - they had to buy the whole side of the car!

While the car was in the shop, I purchased the rear valance of the GFX and had it painted and installed. I also purchased some new exhaust tips - since I really did not like the look of round exhausts in a rectanglar hole. I thought it came out looking pretty nice. You can also see the billet rear bow tie.

During the 3 months I was without the Camaro, I ended up doing some shopping and have a bunch of parts I am in the process of installing:

Doug Thorley ceramic coated shorty headers
ARM intake scoop (not sure if it will work with my intake, but got it from a fellow Camaro5er)
New Carpet Mats (Decided to replace the gray ones with black. The gray shows too much dirt and stains too easily)
Rear Subwoofer enclosure for the trunk
10" Cerwin Vega dual voice coil subwoofer
Kenwood 5 channel Amp
Scosche Dash Kit
Kenwood DNX-9990HD stereo with GPS

Most of these items are in the garage and waiting for me to install.

Thanks. Once my wallet recovers, I need to get some coilovers and the subframe bushings. So far I am loving the Pfadt swaybars!

Can you tell me what is the difference between the Pfadt GMPP coilovers and the regular Pfadt adjustable coilovers?
