I am dragging this old thread back up since I have an indoor car show coming up in a few weeks and need to know how to ground the headlight switch so that I can power my AAC halos and a few LED strips and my LED taillights during the show.
The indoor show will let me use the AC power so I can plug into the building, but need to convert it to run my 12V lights also.
Any more help on this stuff?

I wouldn't know how to wire everything, but AAC installed this for me. It powers all my lights for indoor shows.

friend of mine leaves his led lights on at shows.all he did was put a switch in his engine compartment.i ask him about the drain on his battery and he said the lights use almost no current at all.he's never had a problem.

soo its like 2 wires that go to the battery and there just a plug and you just plug it in? think i might buy this!
