I'm in Queens too. I know there is an active Camaro club in Long Island. Nothing against upstate (I went to college in Rochester), but how about upstate NJ? They have some great driving roads. A lot of the exotic car rental companies do their tours in upstate NJ.

I'm in Middle Village. Ordered a non-existant CGM 2SS/RS (possibly with black stripes). The Camaro Club I was talking about is the Long Island Camaro Club.

Like you're not going to enjoy every minute of it, right?

Just figuring the 1st meet should be central to all involved and in a location of relatively "good size". Syracuse fits that bill. I don't think we want to meet up in some hick town of 42 people. It doesn't mean the following meet won't be right in your own back yard in NYC...

That would be great Brian. I will ask some queistions with the people around here. I heard that the track opens up for people to run their cars on a regular basis. Better yet, why don't I contact the track and see if this is true, and to get details on how this is done? The track is only 45 minutes south of where I live.

I have friend through a friend who lives in Long Island and is a member of the LI Camaro club. He states that it is a very active club, and I understand that there is a member who is high up in the GM organization that is also a member. If I lived down there I would join now and get hot tidbits even before I physically got my car.

Here is their web site, http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/licc/index.htm. You can contact them through it.

And - here is another site that promotes it http://www.camarocrazy.net/index.php...d=13&Itemid=27.
