If you dont trust the lifters you can opt for the afm delete cam which allows for vvt use and gets you better lifters along with a few extra pony's

I absolutely will end up without AFM lifters on our car because I'm looking for max power. What I'm trying to show you guys is a properly designed & tuned afm/vvt camshaft can still work very well & not cost you $1500 in labor! This camshaft installs easily without cylinder head removal & that's big for a lot of people who dont want to spend crazy $$$ to do a complete heads & cam removal for the lifter swap.

It has to do with how the lifter is designed. It's very sensitive to lift & can cause failures going past about the .500" mark.

Lifters & VVT is without a doubt the way to go!

Decisions, decisions........Paint or performance??
We take our camaro out on a lot of long road trips, for an example the last trip was from Alberta Canada down to Denver Colorado for the Pinks All Out back in August, this was just over 5000 KMS round trip, will adding a mild cam with an agressive idle loose some of the reliablity of the engine?? Or will it turn it into more of a drive it for a day work on it for a week type race car???

I have a TSP VVT cam in my car. I would have no problem driving this car on a long road trip.

I don't know enough about the cam specs, so how aggressive is your cam set up??, Mild, Wild, or Crazy Larry
Also would you have a sound clip or a video of your camaro at an idle so I and a bunch of others can hear how good she sounds??

It has headers cold air and pulley on the baseline pull.
Dyno sheet is above and video/sound is coming Monday.

Cam is very mild with mid 220s intake duration. We will be dyne testing larger cams before I leave for sema!
