I can't say how loud it would be with muffler delete. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for that. Can you estimate the sound level on a scale of 1 to 10 before and after the install? Also, do the instructions specifically state to orient the "x" crossover point to the front of the vehicle or is there no preference? Just curious....

OK, im just wondering if the X-Pipe actually increases HP at all or just makes it a little louder? Is the stock L99 Resonator a straight thru 2.5" design....can you drop a golf ball in one end and have it roll out the other side? If you still have your resonator could you please let us know. The resonator appears to get fairly skinny in the center....would love to know how it looks inside.

TIA

Well i did some searching and found this.......

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=L99+Resonator

It looks like a fairly free flowing design.

You essentially cut the resonator out with a cut in front of and behind the cats, or you make four cuts in the stock exhaust pipe and pull the resonator out. I haven't yet, but I'm going to have mine welded this week. It took 9 minutes to get the resonator out and a total of about half an hour to get the x pipe installed.

In the referenced thread, they say there's a good performance boost to removing this hummer and it looks very restrictive. I wasn't aware that the LS3 had a different exhaust system on it. You learn something every day!

If 10 is louder, I would say it was a 5 before the X pipe and a 6 after. I really think it sounds a lot like Corsa axle backs on an LS1 engine. Very nice in my estimation.

I edited a video pasting the before and after the installation stationary sound track and then a WOT drive by. My grand daughter was the driver (17) and I think she did a great job...let's here it for Daniela!!!! I don't know how to post it here, but you can go to the YouTube site and have a look:

I searched for the best price on line and found it at StreetSideAuto.com for $125, but they have sales for $10 off that price and they ship free. as a matter of fact I ordered the item late in the evening on Weds and the package arrived by noon on Friday....that was awesome customer service and the fastest shipping I've seen anywhere.
