I just got back right now from REV IT UP Orlando and got some sweet pics of the Camaro too! I'll post them tomorrow cuz im too tired now. This event was the best $25 I've ever spent. You can tear the crap out of ALL of the cars, the only thing I didnt like were the auto tranny's, the BLOW at auto cross especially the vettes, but then I fugured out how to use the paddle shifters and keep it in 1st gear the whole time.

You drove the Paddle-shifted Vette? How was it?

They probably did have paddle shifters, they just dont tell you they have them. I remembered the auto vettes had them as I was waiting in line the second time to drive. You have to put it in S which is after D on the shifter and then hit the paddles on the steering wheel to activate it.

Using the paddle shifters was a great improvement over leaving it in full auto because I kept it in 1st gear the whole time. On the first run it would shift to 2nd and 3rd at like 25mph and I would have to mash it for like 3 secs for it to FINALLY shift. The second time I didnt get to try it in any other gears than 1 because the track was so small and you have to slow down so much that you dont even need 2nd gear so I couldnt tell you anything about responsivness or shift speeds:( Another thing is the HUD, SWEET

Anyway, here are a few pics.

NICE PICS!!!

You know, the more I look at pictures of the engine compartment on the Camaro, the more I think of what an improvement it is to the last model year. The motor was stuffed so far back into the Car, it looked like you needed to open the Dash to change a spark plug!!!
This is nice, and open. No engine hiding here ...I know it's all dressed up to look pretty for the shows, I'm commmenting on the overall placement. That can't change too much from the concept...
