O'well its still a Camaro..

You will know for next time. Never buy a muscle car for just the looks. Thats why u see mustangs everywhere...more than half v6. They should control the market and have only ss. Like 1SS is just the 6.2 and 2SS is supercharged 6.2. No v6 option unless its TT from factory.

I learned it the hard way a long time ago, and it happens. Jay Leno did it on purpose and TT it. I just know if you got the v6 you dont have that extra moiney laying around to TT it. The good thing is, if you start saving now, you could trade your v6 in with cash and get an SS in a year or so. Next time buy used like 2-6k and save thousands.

That's the plan keep if for a year or so, keep the miles low then trade up with cash and lose my back end but I can live with that.

19's are cheaper, tires are cheaper, last longer, and can be rotated. And they look at least 80% as good. Also, the V6 does NOT need a staggered set up. It's all for looks, and may even hurt performance.

I have a 2010 LT2 V6 with the factory 18inch wheels, can anyone tell me if I can put the 19 or 20 inch SS wheels and tires on it with no issues? I understand that the stock 19 or 20s that can come on some LT models will not fit the SS because of caliper issues but was not sure if I could put SS wheels on the LT without an issue?Nest question would you recommend 19 inch or 20 inch wheels?

Thank you for your response in advance.

JC
JC, the 20's you are speeking of are the SAME as what comes on a SS. the 20" wheels were or are an OPTION on LT's and actually come on LT's that have the RS package. SO ther ya go. and I personally would go with the 20's.

I have the SS rims and tires on my LS. The 20's fit perfect.

If you check the Wiki...yes they are the lightest at 30lbs. The RS 20's are 32 (front) and 34 lbs (rear).

The brakes are the same for all wheel sizes on the LT's ...

To the OP, you should have no problems. If you are going to get different wheels and they don't come with tires, look at getting lighter tire, too. You may more than offset the weight gain from larger wheels.

Some of us can and are. Let's not start another another argument about "why get a V6" when they are all Camaros. Each person has their own ideas and reasons for getting their car. Blanket statements like this don't reflect reality. A lot of guys on the V6 sections like to mod their cars. Let's leave it at that.

ok...got to say that I love my v6....the technology of the direct injection is what made me decide to go with it over the 6.2....so I disagree that the camaro should only come as a 8 or tt......as for the wheels....I may be wrong but I was under the impression that the 19's were actually the lightest of the bunch since the heritage wheels are actually steel and in a sence alot heavier....with the ls coming in at 3780 lbs vs the lt that weighed 3751 lbs...oh and I love modifying my car...one piece at a time, but I love it

I have a 1LT, put 20's off an SS, make the car look "right". Plus with my V6 brakes, I can clean the inner rim with out busting up my hands. Rims look brand new all the time!!
