From what I've heard from my friends that are officers, they have to be flashing to be considered impersonating an officer.
Mine are going to be white, so I don't have any issues, unless they flash. Flashing white is illegal as well, because it's a state vehicle, non emergency.

I have mine (AMBER) on all the time day/night. I pass cops/state troopers constantly and have never had any problems. I pulled into a Wal-Mart parking space next to about 5 or 6 cops and they were talking about how awesome they looked.

okay well another question im also looking to get engine bay lighting and a strip put between the heritge and lower grill so they glow when the lights on. Is there anything against that being its a large area of the car glowing ?
