Close but no cigar, more like 1 liter = 61.02 cubic inches so the LS3 (6.162 cc) would be 376.00524.

Actually CI stands for "metric sucks and we don't want it".

Nice I am not the only one who gets the "English" style phrasing after watching that show.

I love when they call 4 doors 'saloons' and how coupe is pronounced coup-ay on top gear. Man that show is awesome. Even the cinematography makestheir episodes about any old car just beautiful.

And if you raise the bonnet you can see the 376ci LS3. Well, at least that's what GM states the ci as in the Official Ordering Quick Reference.

I heart that show! Like you've said - the cinematography is too cool. I love it, along with the muscle they add; it's just a great package, I think. Too bad I can't find any DVDs so I could order seasons.

I'm sure there's an on-line conversion website that could calculate that, LOL.

Ok, here we go.. Volume = Pi*(D)^2*L*(# of cylinders) or Pi*(bore)^2*Stroke*(# of cylinders SO... a engine that has a 3'' bore and a 4'' stroke would be as such: Volume (displacement) = 3.141592654*(3'')^2*(4'')*8 = 904.8 inches^3.

1inch = 2.54cm (exact) - length
100cm = 1m (exact) - length
1000L = 1m^3 (exact) - volume
1L = 1000cc (exact) - volume

So a 302 inch^3 would the same as ... {(302inches^3 * )((2.54cm)^3)/1inch^3) * ((1m^3)/(100cm)^3) * ((1000L)/(1m^3))} = 4.948L (4948cc)

For those of you who are as detailed as I am when it comes to things such as numbers, please excuse the amount of significant figures. Hope that helps.
