Not at all. Convertible Muscle Cars/Grand Tourers are no more "sports cars" than an old GTO convertible is. At least in my opinion.

A "sports car" is small, seats two and stresses handling more than brute force...muscle cars/Grand Tourers put more effort into making big power and respectable handling while offering comfort and practicality to drivers.

A drop-top doesn't change that formula...it just lets the wind through your hair.
