As for it the code being 4B00, no, its 4800 (Rail Ramp Unload) which is supposed to mean its there locally, just not at the dealer right? I had to ask, because I wasnt sure what "Rail Unload" meant in the first place. Gah, I just want this over with! I feel like its an eternity

It might be in Birmingham Ala. that's one of the railyards that drop off vehicles. Ask your dealer where their railyard distribution center is.

As I mentioned, this only applies to 426 recently built 2011 SS models with auto trans. You could call your dealer to see if it applies to your's, or if you send me the last 8 digits of your vin# in a pm I can tell you if your car is involved.

Again, this is not a saftey recall, but a customer satisfaction campaign.

We know you want your Camaro. But DO NOT pay $5000 more just to have it in hand for 2 days before you go on the road again. It sucks having to wait, but personally I would wait it out. It is stuck somewhere with the bad weather.

Attention: General Manager, Service Manager, Parts Manager,
New Vehicle Sales Manager and Warranty Administrator

General Motors is releasing Service Update Bulletin 10432 today.
The total number of vehicles involved is 426.

Purpose: This bulletin provides a service to replace the three torque converter bolts and modify a transmission dust cover on certain 2011 model year Chevrolet Camaro vehicles equipped with 6.2L SFI V8 engine (RPO L99) and automatic transmission (RPO MYC). A small number of these vehicles were produced with torque converter bolts that do not provide adequate thread engagement with the new two piece flywheel. If a bolt loosened,a clanking noise may be noticeable.

The “Investigate Vehicle History” screen on the GWM application in GM GlobalConnect will be updated in the near future. However, attached is a VIN list of the involved vehicles sorted by dealer Business Associated Code (BAC) for immediate reference.
If your BAC is not listed, then none of the involved vehicles is assigned to your dealership and no further action is required.

It sounds very shadey. Your dealer isn't telling you what recalls is wrong with your Camaro that you ordered. There has been 3 service done to my Camaro, the back spoiler, the A/C hose, and I forget the other one. Those 3 can be checked in a hour. Not enough to make you wait few days.
