you need to stall the car accordingly to the cam you get/gears you have/RWHP you have. there is alot of things to consider when choosing a stall. like our stg2 blower cam, with it you need about a 3400 stall to keep it happy at idle{but there is more built into a stall than just the RPM flash}. but even with a 3400, the car drives like stock. you do get a little stall around the city, but if your driving normal its not bad at all. we use 2-3 different company's for stalls and all work great for DD. when you get on the HWY the converter locks up anyways and you wont loose MPG from it! thats the best part! you can have a bigger cam/converter combo and not sacrifice HWY MPG much at all
P.S. and when i give stall numbers that what the stall will truly stall at. so when i say 3400 i mean it will flash at 3400. some company's have off the shelf stalls that are rated at XXX rpm but will stall at 2-300 higher depending on the HP of the car Last edited by east TX Muscle cars; 01-13-2011 at 07:42 PM. |

I have a 3200 stall (Circle D) with a Whipple supercharger and comp VVT cam. I don't have any problems at all on the street and mine's a daily driver. In regards to the tires, I think I'd roast them with any stall cause I'm riding on 22s!

IMO Choose a Stall where peak TQ comes into play for the Blower, Like on Maggies aprox 2500 to 2800 rpms. If ur cammaed as well, go up to about 3000 to 3200.

Personally, I feel a 2400 is to low for a maggie car. IMHO, a 2800-3000 stall, with a top mount blower, and the 6L80E, is perfect. For a daily driven street car that is.

remember though, it usually flashes around 2800 NA, so it will be around 3000-3200 or looser with the maggie...
