I'm on my trial period for the Camaro, but in my truck it was running about $28/month for the full package including 'Directions and connections'.

I will let mine expire. don't drive in remote areas so I don't care about crash notification and I get free voice turn-by-turn directions through my iphone using the MapQuest app.

I've had OnStar for 12 months in two cars now, and never used it once. It would be nice to have but just too much $$ for emergencies only IMO. If I took the car on trips, I might be more inclined to keep it.

You paid too much - have the 'safe and sound' mo to mo plan at $12.99 comes out to $13.ish per month with taxes. Also was able (for the 2nd yr) get directions 'free' for six months'. Go back and re-negotiate...

I was going to cancel my plan today and they offered me 14 months of safe and sound coverage for $149 so I took the deal.

I just renewed mine. I actually like the navigation even though I have it on my phone. I told the OnStar rep that if I renewed I wanted the navigation. She offered me the safety plan at $149 for the year ($50 off), and said she would give me six months of navigation or free. Then I could add the other six months for $50 later. I asked if I could just pay $199 for the year and she said sure. $100 bucks off didn't seem too bad, so I took it.

I like Onstar. My winter car I bought a few weeks ago (Equinox) is going to be upgraded from analog to digital when the dealer receives the kit. Only $213 for a year ! Had I known the Onstar was still analog maybe I could have had them include it in the purchase price. I will renew the Camaro when the time comes.

If you have a IPOD, IPHONE, IPAD, you can get the software from ITunes for any Navagations. I have Tom Tom, plus what came on the Ipod. But then I look it up first that way I know where I am going.
I don't think I will use OnStar Directions and Connection since I have the Nav software.
