We have about 5-6 EMCC members going to Oshawa, planning on leaving about 12noon-ish on Thursday, should arrive by dinner time. It's about 5 hours from the D to Oshawa, as I remember wayback when the Ont Nats was held there before. (at the GM Canada HQ bldg, not the plant)

I'm not sure which route we'll be taking - Detroit or Sarnia. To me it seems out of the way to go to Sarnia, but when you look at a map, it isn't too much difference in time/distance.

We'd be happy to hook-up with anyone else, but best to try that once over the border. Someone mentioned that if you're in a convoy, you might get across faster - I'd think just the opposite will be true.

Remember once when we went across and one club member got pulled over to have his car inspected, the rest of us pulled off to the side to wait and then I walked over to talk to the car owner. Next thing I know, I'm being told to bring my car over... because they figure we're passing contriband or something to each other. If someone gets pulled over, you have to let them be!! Used to be horror stories of Customs tearing cars apart, then when nothing is found they say... oh well... and leave you to re-assemble your car!

As time gets closer, I'll check back here again to see if we can make a hook-up.

If I leave my house @11 I'll be at the bridge around noon. I would be glad to meet up with you guys somewhere on the 401. I know that there is a mall a couple miles form the bridge just befor you get to the 401. That would be an easy meet up spot.

Pretty sure there will be more than a few of us from West Michigan & beyond crossing at Sarnia. I am told that it is much easier to cross there than Detroit.

Trott, would love to meet up with you guys. The 401 somewhere is a great idea. Let's see if Angel or Brenda and Bob know of some place that would work out.

Can't wait!!

Nothing firm yet, just figured to be in Windsor at my friends house to leave with the caravan around 10a on Thursday .We can all travel together. A group from Florida to (about 5 cars) may want to join us for the ride. Actually a pretty boring drive 401 all the way, unless we take #2 highway for a while.

So far it's just me. I guess there's no one from my area going. We are still on for 10am at the Red Lobster on Dixie right?
