I think my problem isn't the brake pad itself but mine make this noise sometimes and I don't know what it is and it doesn't do it all the time to tell them about it.

A very old school fix for the occasional squeaking is to take some sandpaper to the outer edge of the rotor. I don't know why it works, but just that it works.

typically, this is to remove the outer lip rust ring- which the pad can rub against if it is pushed out towards the edge of the rotor just a bit. Not sure that a vehicle of this age would have that rust ring at this point.

Is your car an early-build? Some Camaros from the first half (or so) of production 'suffer' from occasional brake squeal...like it's been said, this is because they are performance brake pads liable to do that...but Chevy has a fix for it. If you've got the time, take a trip to the dealer, and ask them about it. Make sure they check for any service bulletins and see if your car is in the effected range.

Worst thing that can happen is they send you home with a 'sorry'.

Yeah, I'm 16,765 vin# and yes they have squealed but this is something different. it's hard to explain. but, I'll have them check them out this time when I get my next oil change.

The '' roller skate'' thing you are referring to are mounted on the pads, not the caliper. I have those on mine (early 2010 prod.)

My brakes started squealing soon after I got my Camaro. After some reading I found out I needed to do a few hard braking stops to break-in my break pads. The squealing went away.
A common reason brakes will wear quickly is people don't keep their feet completely off the brake pedal when they are not needing to stop. Resting your foot on the pedal will eat your brakes up quickly and cause them to glaze making them squeal.
Watch the driver's foot and see if they have it on the brake pedal most of the time, then you'll know why your brakes are acting up.

Hey girl, I'm calling them tomorrow mine is making a noise like whoop and can feel it when I'm brakeing more and more in the last couple of days. The weird thing is I don't think it's the pads it make be something else in the brakeing.
