In defense of the OP, isn't it standard pratice for the media, especially TV, to take something out of context, then mis-quote it, so they can continue their '"chicken little" syndrome of running around like idiots yelling "THE SKY IS FALLING!!!" He said the TV news said that GM wants to pull out of Canada. Judging from what I've seen of the media lately that is probably what they said. To me MEDIA and FAIL are almost synonomous anymore.

Yea and it's a rational person's job to know that and siphon the actual fact out of the story. In this case it's the quote from the CAW guy which doesn't really say that GM is pulling out of Canada but that it is a worst-case scenario.

No excuse for falling for the media's hysterics when he had the article and it's quotations right there. Sure the headline of the article is dramatic, print guys like their headlines but any actual reading of the story shows the CAW is at least sounding like they understand the reality of the situation and aren't inclined to force all of their jobs out of the country.

Yep. A UHAUL truck just pulled up. GM's moving out today! ROFL

I hope they don't make the Camaro in Mexico. My 08 HHR SS was built in Mexico and there were some obvious quality issues. They were all fixed under warranty, and who knows, maybe the worker that put my HHR together hadn't got their cup of frijoles that morning or had too much Tequilla the night before and they were a bit shakey but man was I disappointed in some areas of the build quality.

Not to mention he got it from the CBC. They are the first ones to yell "the sky is falling!". Even if its a million years away.

it was the add on "production delay" that was NOT in the article.

If ever GM "LEFT Canada" it will be well after all our 2010's are built.

= no " production delay "

On the positive side, South Korean automaker Hyundai posted an 18.9 per cent sales gain while Japan's low-volume Mitsubishi was up 9.1 per cent, and Suzuki rose 4.3 per cent."

Its a sad day when Suzuki is gaining ground over any company

If you have news about GM/Camaro, post it! But naming a thread can make a big difference. I just wanted to put an end to 'discussions' like the following:

"OMG SKY IS FALLING"
"omg, the sky is NOT falling. NOOB!!"
"yeah, this thread fails"
"so will the Camaro be built?"
""

repeat

With all do respect , do you serious believe that moving the Camaro production to Mexico will result in a top quality 5thGen ?? Man some comments here just boggle the mind.

I wonder if the fact Oshawa has won a ton of JD Power awards would be a factor in your statment. Just wondering... Super60
