Kidding...give them lay-z-boys for the offices if they keep turning out these wonderful products. Thanks GM.
It probably does have leather and heated seats...because it's a Cadillac. The point of the IVERs is to make sure all that stuff will work before they finalize the engineering and design.

1) So the competition doesn't get an early peek as to what you're up to. The suppliers already leak enough.

2) So your customers don't see the new product and hold off on buying the old product.

I honestly have no idea what the ATS's wheelbase is. I'd look at the 3-series and C-class and go from there.

You only think you know what's underneath. And you won't know what's underneath for some time. But as mentioned, there is no need to show it so why show it.

Only has to do with what needs to be evaluated/tested. Water leaks, windnoise, sunroof performance all need to be tested at some point before the customer gets a car.

Again, that's assuming you know what's underneath

Looks cool. That c-pillar looks like a ginormous blind spot though. Any info on what kind of powerplant it's supposed to get?

Exactly...anybody wishing to get an idea of what the 6th gen Camaro will be like....take a gooooood, close look at the ATS when it's finally released. In all it's coupe, convertible, and hi-po goodness....

I'm sure Fen will have some juicy rumor ...but in the meantime, I've heard/read the car AND platform (read: future Camaro...) is being safeguarded for use with a 4 cylinder, 6-cylinder, and a V8....depending on application...

Probably sometime next year. I believe a certain wise GM engineer once told me that a car was about a year away from production once IVERs were on the road.
