Theres not enough room here to go into details on ethanol.....I would not use any gas with more than 10% blended ethanol, the Camaro is not designed to run on it. Besides the power loss from ethanol it is also corrosive to the fuel system. If you are driving a stock Camaro with little mods, 91 octane is fine. I run an ECM tune from Jannetty Racing that is specifically for 91 octane and the mods I have. You do not need an octane booster and it most likely would not run any better even if you added it. Hope that helps.

While all this is good information it still doesn't directly answer my question.

Options available to me.

1. 93 octane 10% ethanol blend

2. 91 octane NO ethanol

Which option is best? One or Two?

Either or is fine. The 10% isnt hurting anything. The car wants to run at 14.7, if you were custom tuning you would make stoic 14.3 (with 10%)... It isnt going to matter. Use either or and your fine. Maybe the 91 (without) will be more consistent and is a better choice. We get 91 with 10% my car is at 11.3 on the compression and I dont have any issue with knock retard.

whats this tells you ... and I said this in the thread earlier is that you at 10.7'ish compression is going to be just fine.. I am running more compression than you with crappier gas and dont have issue.

Well I crossed ALL the way over to Ethanol. It is available to me four miles from where I live. My mileage went from close to 18 to 13.5 MPG. The stoio is 9.7 for ethanol so I had to upgrade my fuel delivery system and upgrade the injectors plus a tune from ADM to put it all together. Never any soot in my tailpipes as I am running on pure fuel injector cleaner. Ha Ha

All the cars that can only run pump 91 octane with 10% ethanol should have the tune optimized for it.
Scruffage, I vote you run 91 with 10 % ethanol as it is much more available, unless the pure 91 is as easy to find.

I have a location close to me that has 91 ethanol free, at least for now. I filled up Sat and drove about 450 miles, mostly interstate and averaged 23.7 mpg
