I'd say go with Rain X or the Adam's Glass Sealant (I'd go with Adam's they're products don't let you down ) and I haven't really experimented because I do not drive in the rain right now, but next year I will have to use the Adam's glass Sealant.

Not on my car they don't! Notice anything missing?

But then I don't spend much time bombing around in the rain either!

Ive noticed this effect as well, I generally clean my windows using the same shop towels I use to wax the car out of laziness so i think that helps it bead up and roll right off.

Wait what? Is that legal?

I used to use Rain-X - super effective but it left a leading edge smudge down the middle of the windshield where the passenger side wiper came to. Has this happened to anyone?

smudge comes from not using your wipers as much so they tend to dry rot easier when using rain x all the time. i use it on all my cars and the effects are noticibly different on all 4 of my cars, works great on all though. i don't like using it on anythihg but front as i think the pluses aren't really seen. don't use it on the inside nasty results, don't ask why just tried it i use the anti fog and it works great on the interior glass as it is meant for, but it is harder to find in stores

Not legal in NY. It wouldn't pass a mandatory yearly state vehicle safety inspection here.

Prob would be an issue if I was driving in the rain without them. And in any state that does the yearly inspections you would have to put them back on...

No probs so far. Been "naked" for about a year now...

Aesthetics. They stuck out like a cheap wing to me! Every time I looked at the front of the car and followed the lines back to where they came into view I would almost ...

I took the car by my dealer (great guys!) as they love my car and the path its transformation is taking. They wanted to see my wheels and I said nothing about the wipers (actually had forgotten about the mod) and the owner spotted them or lack thereof immediately.

Same reason some people do things like disabling the Daytime Running Lamps.

Removing the wipers could be dangerous. You never know when you could get something splashed onto your windshield unexpectedly.
