I guess its kind of in between, I have satin on mine but my GS fender stripes are matte since they do not make them in satin. As long as the two vinyls are not right next to eachother, no one will notice.

Matte = Flat
Satin = Semi Gloss
Gloss = Gloss

That is how I use black in powdercoating. It applies to paint also.
