I'm at 9 1/2 weeks right now. It's been built since 3/3/11 and was stuck in Dearborn, MI in the whole Allied hostage craziness.

Every time the phone rings my heart skips a beat hoping its the dealership! Keeping my fingers crossed for the call!! It's supposed to hit 80 degrees this weekend!

Just dropping by this board to say Hi, my dealer has vertts for spot delivery. they only want $12 K over msrp! Rag top is NOT my car at all, but like I said you guys are saints! good luck on the wait, got my "left-over" for $42OO under msrp and glad I waited. Keep the faith you will get it! And it will Be worth it!

GM Connects website has been helpful in tracking the car.

02/19/2011 - (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.
02/19/2011 - (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production.
02/22/2011 - (2500) Order preferenced. Order pulled to the production system.
02/23/2011 - (3000) Order accepted by production control. Parts being ordered and production process is underway.
03/19/2011 - (3100) Order available to sequence.
03/19/2011 - (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
03/22/2011 - (3100) Order available to sequence.
03/22/2011 - (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
03/22/2011 - (3100) Order available to sequence.
03/26/2011 - (3400) Order Broadcast (internal plant paperwork order produced). Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together.
04/04/2011 - (3800) Order produced and vehicle is being prepared for shipping. For Cadillac, GMC and Buick customers, please contact your dealer or customer service for further updates as no further updates available at this time.
04/04/2011 - (4000) Vehicle available to ship.
04/04/2011 - (4150) Invoiced (order is invoiced to the dealer).
04/04/2011 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor.
04/11/2011 - (4200) Shipped (vehicle is shipped to the dealer or interim point of delivery).
04/19/2011 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor.

after 7 days (4-4 to 4-11) it was shipped to Chicago. I'm thinking 1-3 days, and I'm good. Wrong. On 4-19, it's bayed again. I go to the dealer to ask what's up. He took the time to make a couple calls. He determined that the car is in fact in Chicago. It's get's "bayed" a second time (4B00 status on 4-19) in Chicago waiting to be trucked to Indianapolis. So, he tells me that this coming Monday or Tuesday for sure. I'll believe it when I see it. My only consolation is that every other dealer I've called to ask if they have any verts in stock tells me the same thing about the delivery process. So, I'm pretty sure I'm not getting jacked around by my dealer. I guess if somebody's willing to pay 12K over sticker, there's really no incentive for the dealer to raise hell with GM.

While at the dealer, I see a black/black 2SS in the showroom. Top of the line vert...more than I really want to pay. But, it looked so hot! For a couple minutes, I thought about making a deal for it on the spot. I have a feeling, it will be worth the wait.

My convertible was made on 21 March and arrived from Ontario to Missouri on 31 March.

Wanna hear something funny/scary? I ordered mine on Nov 19. It was built Jan 27. The dealer STILL hasn't gotten it (you can search for the full story). I've had my replacement for 5 weeks now and have been loving every minute of it.
